The Local on Hammett is designed for great company and great food! Townsville’s newest fun, family-friendly complex with a convenience store and eateries to delve into.
Focused on creating a blank canva that reflects the modern, timeless and fun environment, the branding brief was to be neutral to help make the other restaurants and food outlets in the complex stand out with the bold colours of fresh, local produce.
The stylised letter ‘A’ has a smile to convey the feeling of happiness and community. Both the ‘A’ and ‘O’ in the brandmark were designed in a subtle way for wayfinders, signage and patterns to help visitors locate the stores.
The Grocer on Hammett, is a sister brand of The Local, using the same branding elements to keep it clean and consistent. The Grocer, being locally owned and supporting local farmers, combines a ‘G’ and a leaf for a brand icon.
